Post-hysterectomy women – the hope of a reaction!?
I'm scheduled for next week due to a hysterectomy fibroids which essentially ruined my life for over 3 years. Although this is a good thing, I'm getting a little nervous about what to expect after surgery? Find the entry of the ladies who have gone through this and tell me what you can expect to want more … and how quickly they were able to return to "normal rate"? Also I'm curious if there is something specific you should go to the hospital with me? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
I had a total hysterectomy three years ago. If you have your ovaries removed, it is good to talk to your doctor about hormone replacement therapy. I had a hysterectomy and tummy tuck at the same time and did well with a pain pump lydocain drip "Novocaine" to the right in the area incision through tiny tubes, and Motrin. I read something on the package of gauze in one of the other answers, but it was nothing, just a handkerchief over incision.
