My doctor just told me that I have a fibroid? "

I have 35 weeks of pregnancy and my doctor just told me I have a small uterine fibroid that was seen in my 8-week ultrasound. I said just now six months after they've seen this month I'm upset. What this growth? How do I know this is a fibroid and not a cancerous tumor if no biopsy? Does anyone know anything about this?
