fibroid risks
Should I be worried about this? My dr did not have time to explain! Pls. Help. ?

The ultrasound showed fibroids. The doctor did not seem concerned, however, I am concerned. What is a fibroid, should worry about it. I have 30 1 / 2 weeks pregnant, which can cause problems for the baby? In addition, Dr. Just said that I follow every 2 weeks. It said it would start to give me a nonstress test and ultrasound every two weeks. (I have 35 years and high risk). She said she wants to follow my oil level and make sure my placenta is not low. What does this mean? Is this normal procedure? He seemed not to worry too much, But she said I would not do that at maturity can. She said she reviewed the next time you come to see if I started to dilate. Please let me know if this is normal or should I worry. Thanks.

Hi everyone! First let me say that fibroids are not cancerous and benign tumors that do not "put" on cancer. Sorry to emphasize strongly that if I want to worry more than they already are. Fibroids during pregnancy can cause problems and I think that's why your doctor want to control every two weeks. Your doctor will want to check that the "red degeneration" did not hs. Is where the blood supply is cut the artery which can cause pain and a small number of cases of contractions. Please, do not worry if the contractions, and that can give you medicine to stop contractions. His doctor has suggested that one can not make the deadline, but the intention is to wait as long as possible, to give medication to stop contractions until is safe for your baby to be delivered. After most of the birth of their beautiful little miracle, it is important that you know what time fibroids do not cause symptoms and therefore does not require any treatment. If this causes problems, then it's probably drug use GnRH analogues to reduce the levels of pestrogen on your system (estrogen causes fibroids). If not help, then they can myomectomy where they try to remove the fibroid (s) individually, leaving the uterus intact, or embolization of the uterine artery (blocking blood supply to the fibroids). I really hope this helps and please try not to worry and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Be sure your doctor be aware of fibroids and monitor you closely. I must say that I know of no reason why this might affect your baby directly. Good luck! Indigo xxx
