There are several options for care, including home care and medical treatment, including medications and alternative care techniques. All these options have successful in alleviating many symptoms of PMS. The best thing is to try different approaches before finding what works for you, or you can decide on a combination of each option.
Medical treatment:
Your doctor may prescribe medication to relieve symptoms of the syndrome premenstrual. Some of these measures may include an anti-inflammatory that may be used to reduce the amount of prostaglandins in the body of a woman who, in turn, reduces symptoms such as headache, breast pain and Welling – which are all caused by inflammatory reactions. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as the new type of Cox-2 NSAIDs that are available only by prescription. These COX-2 does not cause stomach ulcers and stomach upset or aggravate many as NSAIDs have. There is always a risk potentially dangerous side effects when used prescription drugs.

Benzodiazepines can lead to dependence, to discuss the use of this medication thoroughly with your doctor before starting treatment. Anxiolytics and antidepressants are also used in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome, which are diuretics.

There are many home remedies to try to have succeeded in alleviating the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. The Dietary changes to reduce the effects of swelling and water retention can include avoiding foods that contain salt, reduce salt used condiments, avoiding sweets and other sweets, sodas and avoid (especially sugar).
Vitamins and minerals have been proven effective in reducing many symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. These include taking vitamin E (300-400 IU) per day of calcium (1,200 mg), magnesium (200mg daily) and vitamin B6 (50 mg per day) to reduce anxiety and changes humor.
