Is it possible to develop fibroids without having any bleeding or other symptoms?

Two years ago the doctor told me I small fibroids but I'll do an ultrasound the next day the doctor said fibroids have increased, but no bleeding or just plain normal periods. Definitely the bleeding in my near future? Can fibroids and never have symptoms? I am aged 42 years. My little sister had fibroids also increased and then began a very heavy bleeding which then led to a hysterecomy to 43 years. Thanks.

Of course! I had a large fibroid was bigger than my belly. I looked like I was about 5 months pregnant. Finally I went to my doctor and asked if I could be pregnant even though it has always had normal periods. It scheduled an ultrasound and found the fibroid. He had no signs or symptoms other than my belly distended. I underwent a hysterectomy at the age of 37 years. Well, God blessed me with three beautiful children, you really do need more equipment. Freedom of the periods is a wonderful thing.
