Fibroid Tumors Hysterectomy
Tuesday, October 5th, 2010The doctor says I have a fibroid tumor the size of baseballs?
I went to the dr. last week and found a baseball size tumor on my left ovary. It's pretty sure it was a fibroid, but a lot of blood and I'm leaving tomorrow to ultrasound. Has anyone had this that can give me some advice? She briefly mentioned a hysterectomy and said he was sure that is not cancer. Just think of them scare me. I've only been married a little more a year. I have three children of her own, has 2. Two do not go to school. We do not expect to have more children. I have 38 years of age.
I had one of the size Golf ball and my ovary was twice the size it should have been. I also had all the children and has opted for a hysterectomy because my uterus was essentially a large fibroid. Needless to say I've had terrible times and the constant pain. Still one ovary, so do not take hormonal pills. They also took my appendix while open. It was the best thing ever done as far as I'm concerned. Advantages: Can not get pregnant, no time, no more pain and possible thin of cancer of the female. I felt like a new woman after recovering. The laboratory of tumor biopsies automatically where I live and it was benign.
