Fibroids And Pregnancy Pain
Do you think this pregnancy has a greater chance of ending in a miscarriage or live birth!? Pick One?
PLEASE BE HONEST!
I know none of you are doctors but I would just like to get an honest opinion about my good friend. She is 41 yrs. old and already has a 21 yr. old daughter. In the past 2 yrs she has suffered 2 miscarriages (the last one being this march). She is pregnant once again and is happy but also very scared! The doctor has her at high risk, just wanted to know if you honestly think she will have a baby this time or another miscarriage.
(FYI: She had her hormone levels tested and they came back fine but she has 2 cysts, fibroids, and was a smoker up until last weeek that she found out she was pregnant. The father is 40 yrs. old and also a smoker and she says she feels some localized cramping that comes and goes and nagging lower back pain. Her previous miscarriages started when she went to the doctor to check to HCG levels in her blood, and the levels would stop increasing.)
Right now she’s only about 5 and 1/2 weeks
I’m no doctor but I just recently had a miscarriage so I learned a lot from my doctor. There is always a chance of miscarriage. On average 1 out of 3 births end in miscarriage. Her age and the fathers age do play a part in the development of the fetus. There older they both are means the more possibilities of deformed sperm or eggs. If she has passed the 12 week mark she should have less of a chance. Her hormone levels could show normal and then change. My levels showed that I was still pregnant for over a week after my miscarriage. You need to tell her to not stress about it, the more stress she is having the more likely of complications. She needs to just take it easy and know that everything happens for a reason. Her cramping may be cause by stretching. If it has been a long time since her last full term pregnancy her muscles may need to stretch out again. Like I said, I’m no doctor but I’ve been there I had a miscarriage in June and got pregnant again in July so this whole pregnancy I have been worried but I just let what is going to happen, happen. Tell her to enjoy the time not to worry or stress about it.
