What are the pros and cons to having a hysterectomy?
I have a large fibroid tumor that needs to be removed. Thursday I see the doctor to discuss options and I am thinking about requesting a hysterectomy. For two reasons, I won’t ever have to worry about fibroids again (they can grow back after being reomved) and I won’t have to worry about having a period again. Obviously I am done having children. Does anyone have any info I should consider before I have this surgery? Any experiences good or bad, I want to know.
a hysterectomy for fibroids would leave the ovaries. My friend had it done and has no regrets
