Fibroid Surgery Pregnancy

Besides pregnancy, causing an enlarged uterus?

My doctor told me that mine is 4 times higher than it should be. I had a lot of radiology tests done last week and return the results this week. I'm definitely not pregnant (I think actually doing something to enter this state, right? LOL) I do not know if I could have a fibroid is causing the problem or not. Had an endometrial biopsy showed nothing unusual. If not is nothing, I wonder if steroids reduce its size? It is to be causing problems on this scale, and would like to avoid surgery, especially hysterectomy if I can take prednisone to reduce the size of the uterus? Other suggestions? (The main issues seem to have to do with the problems of prolapse.)

A uterus enlarged usually due to fibroids, infection, or endometriosis.Sometimes may be normal, as it could be a senior, but as you have other symptoms, most likely not normal. Your doctor will do a more thorough evaluation to determine the exact cause. You can learn more about fibroids here http://www.fibroids.net/aboutfibroids.html
