Co -worker fued?
A co-worker of mine had scheduled two days off because of not having a babysitter for her child(who’s 11 or 12yrs old)and since then I have been diagonsed with fibroid tumors and surgery is scheduled. The last two days of my recovery time includes the two days she scheduled off. Our employer told her she has to be at work on those two days.She has been a mute to me ever since and will not talk to me. We sit directly across from each other in a cubicle. We do the same job so we communicate daily with each other. She has now started to Instant message me only with whatever she needs to ask that’s work related. Should I worry about this or just think she’ll get over it? Anyone I’ve told at work about this feel she is thinking only of herself.
You need to sit down with her and talk with her about this – she may have a misunderstanding of the situation, and if need be – include your supervisor in the discussion.
You could even make a possible peace gesture – and offer to help her find a sitter that day

Kids under the age of 16 cannot be legally left alone at the home. Child Protection can be called in for this.
