Why is my period lasting so long other than some sort of cancer?
It’s been on for 11days…it has always been irregular missing 2 3 months at a time. Doctors said it could normal for me since other than an irregular period i was healthy. After I had my daughter in 2008 I had an depo shot and my period came on the day after. Six months later it came on again the doctor said it could be from being pregnant and got my second depo I had missed previous shot and the shots after this one. I didnt bleed again until earlier this year I was spotting very lightly. A few months a ago a got a shot and my period been on for 11days. I barely slept and eat and dont get enough fluids. I havent been bleeding heavy or light its been in between, also fibroid tumors kinda runs in my family
Well get it checked out if cancer runs in the family.
It could be normal, some hormones do that when you take them, especially depo. It’s certainly not unheard of. It’s called a side effect. So is losing your period completely.
I don’t consider depo because everything I read on it said it caused month long periods and basically non stop bleeding. Plus the bone loss obviously.. oh and weight gain. But mostly the bleeding. Seriously.
