Fibroid In Uterus Symptoms
My OBGYN did an ultrasound today and said he saw a follicle. He said we should have sex. How am I ovulating?
My periods are irregular for the most part because I have PCOS. However, they have been coming on or within a few days of the 17th of the month. I had a period on February 17th, so I am expecting one on or around that date. I can always tell when it’s time because like a week before my period is due I start getting symptoms. Today I started feeling hot and tingly.
He said he saw a follicle on my ovary that indicates that I am about to ovulate or will ovulate soon. How is that possible. Some months I have a 28 day cycle but sometimes it’s a 35 day cycle. What’s up with that?
Also, he wasn’t 100% sure of if my uterus looked like I have or are about to ovulate because I have a 4-5″ fibroid on my uterus. He said it’s in the way but doesn’t seem to think it’s causing any problems for me (I have a damaged tube … the cilia part … on the bottom). The same side my fibroid is on. He said it COULD be causing it but he doesn’t see how since the fibroid is up higher.
I would just say, “go for it” b/c how could you be more accurate? If he sees a follicle, the your chances are good. If you are irregular in the first place, then who knows by other means when you should ovulate. Good Luck. I would say you’re even lucky that you had this US when you did. WOW, that’s exciting, huh?
