Cost To Remove Fibroids
Are there hormones you can take to help you get pregnant?
Is there such a thing as just taking drugs/hormones to help fertilization or implantation, leaving your normal ovulation alone? I’ve gone through a lot of testing by fertility doctors and they say everything is fine with me, other than they found and removed polyps, fibroids and mild endometriosis. But they say that should not affect my chances. Now I am approaching 35 and I feel they are guiding me towards IVF, but I don’t know that I want that for the cost plus other reasons. I am wondering if there are other options for me that they are just not telling me about? Such as some drugs to help fertilization or implantation?
If you do not have a hormonal imbalance then hormones are unlikely to help. Some medications like Clomid, Femera, Injectible Follistim, etc . . . will sometimes cause your body to mature and release more than one egg increasing your chances. Progesterone can help with the uterine lining creating a better place for implantation but this ONLY helps if you have some sort of progesterone deficit.
I would consider getting a second opinion from another doctor that specializes in fertility. Maybe you would be a good candidate for ovarian stimulation and IUI or something like that.
Good luck and loads of baby dust to you!
